I like the chemex, it is good at making multiple cups of coffee. However the best coffee maker for me is the Aeropress:

Makes 1 solid cup of really tasty coffee.

Me too, before i got my aeropress, i always thought coffee was supposed to be bitter tasting, but using the aeropress really changed that.

-Water: just below boiling, around 205 degrees fahrenheit
-Fresh ground coffee: using a burr grinder (instead of a blade grinder). I have the baratza encore grinder.

- With the aeropress i do the inverted method

I used Tonx, but they were purchased by Blue Bottle Coffee, they have a nice rotation of coffees from around th:

I grind at home.

The next step for me is to buy my own coffee roaster and get unroasted beans. Unroasted beans are a lot cheaper than roasted beans, and will be a lot fresher tasting.
