or are there members who didn't participate in the hazing process? members who exercised their 'choice' not to be hazed but still became members?

example: i was a member of my high school's drama club. i was invited after i'd appeared in a certain number of productions at the school. there was a hazing process and i declined to participate. i was still admitted. i haven't heard this is an option w/the BGLOs or w/other similar frat/soro orgs. have you heard this?
