well, as someone who only became aware of this show through HBO, I find this assessment a little odd. When we don't have time to watch a full show of anything we've been grinding through the web series shorts and I think this is exactly the show they were trying to make on Youtube, they just didn't have the budget.


I'm not as hype on Episode 4 as others though, I thought it was a really fun episode (honestly this show is quickly becoming my favorite on TV) but I agree that the handoff between the two stories was roughshod and made the theme of the episode a little vague. But overall I find the writing to be as clever as Lena Dunham imagines her writing is and the character work to be exceptional week in and week out.


This show strikes a really inspiring balance between being deeply emotional and profoundly funny that I'm pretty fucking bummed out tonight is already the last episode of the season.
