The forest they made for the troll sketch? That was Disneyland quality. And the news set was flawless. They use these things like once. Insane.

In 8th grade, I was an SNL extra. I remember the two sketches they cut for time that week. They rehearsed them and spent money on animating the props (one was a trumpet that shot "vomit", the other was an exploding Donahue head) and then proceeded to just skip those two. They must do that every single week. Nuts.
