all the articles I read on this movie (like 3) never mentioned that. I do remember all the articles kept speaking on the race of the movie's maker (white) and the family being black and how this was somehow a stab at black families. idk.
This was quite disturbing from the beginning scene to the bathroom scene and I was like "the mom really ain't gonna go in there and check this shit?" she really just turned up the tv.
like no way a grown ass man can't check his child...i wonder if this situation (the child as the aggressor) ever happens in real life.

situation doesn't tend to be reported in the news and whatnot with black families (this does not mean, of course, that it does not happen).
It's less a subversion of _all_ black families than it is a subversion of the "Cosby Show" ideal.
