was that clickbait worthy?

The Internet's Favorite Teen Diva is Now Modeling for American Apparel
http://cdn.papermag.com/uploaded_images/10004_LG_brendan_14.jpg

Whoever said voguing can't get you everywhere is having a nice meal of humble pie right now. Brendan Jordan, whose you better work videobomb went viral, is now the star of an American Apparel ad campaign after making some charming appearances on the talk show circuit.

In the ad, AA gives a little more insight into who exactly this flawless posing/pouting expert is:

Brendan is from Las Vegas. He's half Peruvian (his dad was born and raised in Peru) and he learbed Spanish from his extended family that helped care for him. He enjoys taking photos, shopping and collecting Disney memorabilia. In the future Brendan hopes to have his own TV show and design a clothing line. His biggest inspirations are his great grandmother Lucy and Lady Gaga.

They go on to say that, "we were inspired by Brendan after seeing his fearless act of spontaneity and applaud his efforts with the LGBTQ community."

Deviating away from their overtly sexual (and highly questionable) ads, this is definitely one of American Apparel's better campaigns. Clearly, it's only a matter of time until this kid takes over the world -- watch your back, Oprah.

My real issue is how come we don't so stuff like this? And don't count TerRio.

In the wake of all these shootings, it would be lovely to see the families getting some money off some ad campaigns in Essence or Ebony.

The activists that started in Ferguson and made their way up to the WH should be acknowledged by US first. The hell we waiting on TIME for?

The OP is asking how come individuals within the Af-Am community cannot translate their 15 seconds of social media notoriety into fame in order to raise awareness to issues in our community while earning income.

Essentially, Trayvon's dad should earn an ad for insert product and use his fame to bring awareness to issues in his community.

The obvious flaw in this logic is simple: we hate on each other to a large extent. God forbid the individual get on this platform and become Jason Whitlock/Don Lemon. BT will find the individual's entire history and expose them out of spite.
12668709, the various LHH NIggatry aint enough?

Between this dude and George Zimmerman, Peru could use a Nobel Prize winner or some shit ASAP. They did give us Jynx Maze and a lot of awesome food though.

I don't really understand what you're saying about black people capitalizing on such opportunities though. I mean you're talking about people who were victimized or otherwise in the middle of some polemic. There are PLENTY of black folks trying to pimp themselves on Instragram, YouTube and other shit just like this kid.
12668715, And I was wrong about these kids being seductive?

Clearly I'm wrong, the kid is just "flamboyant."

Yeah

Feel free to apologize anytime.

From Mike browns mom`s tshirts sales
To one of the sistas in the core protest group getting twitter cloned/snarked

But ignoring the haters,
blk institutions could get behind these ppl, but many of these companies aint fully autonomous and able to make their own calls

Same wit artists and athletes that wont open their mouths on nothing but nike and cheerios

12668727, exhibit A- AKA inc tell members to not show letters at protests-
