Another great feature would be if the app (or desktop app via drag and drop for example) could upload the electronic syllabi and regurgitate the itemized list and calander/task/reminder directly to the smartphone.

This is a no-brainer for paper syllabi, but kids are browsing their class websites via blackboard and other websites all the time, often from their phone. if they can save a pdf, or drag and drop, or copy paste the info and upload it direct to Syllabeye, wow. the possibilities.
