I haven't been in a long time, but it was the greatest. Fresh Seafood (fried, grilled, etc.), chicken, frog legs, the whole nine.

It's better than any casino buffet I've ever been to.

never knew. Once you get past the old dungeon smell when you walk in, it's a good place to eat. Their Burger is pretty damned good.

especially when i figured out how to do places like that. the first time i went and got some of everything. just meat, meat, meat, meat. by the end of my meal everything was good, but everything tasted the same.

now when i go, i only get three different kinds of meat. always the leg of lamb, bacon wrapped filet mignon, and some chicken. and that's pretty much it. but i get all i can eat of those three, and everything taste much better.

It wasn't the best buffet, but it was interesting.

Only time I ever went was with my whole damn 7th grade class when we went to Washington DC for a Presidential Inauguration.
12666150, That's old school. Horn & Horn Smorgasbord

Going there as a kid in BMore on Sundays was a big deal until they got replaced by Golden Corral and Cactus Willies.

i've only been there the once, and i'm really not sure where it was. somewhere between ohio and washington dc, that's all i remember.
12666200, Looks like they were based out of Baltimore and changed their name in 98
Posted by Overqualified, Wed Dec-03-14 04:09 PM
I would guess they were just in the Baltimore/DC area. I moved away some time ago, so I'm not sure if they're still around.

It was a pretty wild experience. It was an older almost entirely black crowd. Then up pull 3 charter buses full of mostly white kids from Indiana with a few chaperones.

I remember the "what the fuck?" look on the whole restaurant's face. And who could blame them? They're out eating dinner minding their own business and WHAM field trip of punk ass 7th grade kids.
12666217, That sounds about right

outside of Vegas it was probably the best buffet I have had.

There is an Indian Casino down the street from me. Went there once and had their buffet it was really good. King Crab legs and Lobster tails. Not them cheap cold ones you see at chinese buffets. They were pulling them out of warm boiling water with cups of melted butter to dip them in.

When i hit DR, I hit a spot on resort that was basically that.

There was also a great breakfast buffet I hit in costa rica too. That was a while ago so I can't even remember.

A lot of Vegas buffets were great but I can't pinpoint one since it was so long ago.

there's a polish spot called Red Apple Buffet with all you can eat pierogies and other polish food. Oh man. That spot is right up the street too.

Pearl's Place soul food buffet is great. You wait awhile for a seat and in line but the post-church crowd is fun to be around.

Then Chinese Buffets I can't usually fuck with no more based off of bad past experiences. But whenever I feel the need to go to one, I trust China Buffet on Pulaski. Right around the corner from me. Best Chinese buffet in Chicago really. But that ain't saying much.

Shout out to the first Golden Corral in Richmond on Midlothian turnpike btw. Used to tear that shit up after church.

i'm out.
