Yeah so I walk into the men's room at a grocery store around 10pm and there's a young 30ish kinda hipster black dude with just a dash of gutter punk in there just basically hanging out. I don't know what it is, but I attract what folks would call crazy people-- or at least it feels that way. So this guy with the wild eyes just launches into his rant preceded by the subject line. I'm like no I'm not either. Dude was kind of "exotic" looking in the way white folks describe black folks that don't look like what they think black folks are supposed to look like, but anyway he launches into his whole thing.

He's saying shit that is kinda just wild, but I can only assume he says all the time to folks who listen:

"You're an intelligent black dude like me I can tell" riggghhhtt.

"You're better than these white folks and they know it." (that was weird to hear from a total stranger, but ok. Also-- duh I have to be twice as good bro so of course. Just makes me even with em' at the days end though.

"Take this bike as a gift I blew out the back tire" Seriously and it was a super lightweight racing bike. I didn't take it obviously but man the whole shit was crazy. He had a bike in the stall!!

This just happened and I'm a bit turned up as I write this, but yeah-- does anyone have that "hey poor homeless person please tell me your saturation kind of face?" I seriously must have it. I'm running out of fingers and toes to count all the interactions. How I wish I could just say a word to make everything ok for these folks.

but of course it was stolen so I was like nahhh. It was really lightweight though with the brake cables running along the inside of the frame. Coravado? Or something like that. It just needed a new back tire and the handles needed re-wrapping. Ha it was just my size too.

The whole thing started almost as soon as I walked in. I step through the door and dude is just "there" right in the center of the bathroom area eyes all wild and shit. I think he opened with "can I ask you a question?" and I'm like "sure" as I head to the urinal then he hits me with the gay or bi question followed by the rest of it. I feel like I was in there for at least 20 to 30 minutes listening to this guy and trying to find a polite way out of the "conversation".

I volunteer at a soup kitchen and help feed homeless folks regularly. So yeah man-- I care to listen. Part of me says "when is he going to ask for money or food?" sometimes I'm selfish with it-- like "wish he/she would just hurry up and ask for the money or food", but regardless that's why I listen, because maybe I can help.

I went at the bar then walked to the train. I didn't want to have the urge to go while riding home so I stepped into the grocery store to use the bathroom. Alley's are a last resort man.
