again the sooner the discussions can be had with the kids the better and the clearer it is for them the better. It's not about ruining their dreams, but it is about their future. Like I've said they won't be able to get it, so we'll have to accont for wat they can get.

I still say turning MLK Day into our Black Friday and giving gifts for Black History month is viable if the conversation is started early. They ultimately want to know they're getting what they think they're getting and letting them know when its going to happen is the easiest way to deal with it.
