cuz we were broke... i actually find out santa wasnt real at a young age cuz one christmas, she only left me a card underneath a mini-christmas tree we had.... and it was signed santa with i think a 5$ bill... and i recognized my mom's handwriting and she admitted it... i wasnt mad at her when i found out.... it was always crystal clear to me that my mother loved me and would give me the world if she could...

when that burden of fakin it to keep up with the jones was lifted off her shoulders... xmas main focus in my household became more about spending times with ur loved ones and gifts stopped being a necessary part of that equation
