of local groups...or at least the infrastructure of an existing national organization that took *years* to create and build a base.
I know with social media there are more opportunities for spontaneity, but it's usually fool's gold. With rare exception, building a committed base of actors in a movement takes years of work.
Honestly--if you haven't gone to a training or workshop on organizing or movement building, you should. If it's well done, it will likely change the way you look at things.
