Provide rides for people such as in situations where we need to get votes out.

Have black business people/attorneys come in to help people understand the papers that they are signing in order to prevent things like the predatory lending fiasco that just occurred and disproportionately affected minorities. Also have some come in who can help make sure that those who may otherwise be excluded from voting due to missing identification or whatever can have someone help them get the paperwork that they need.

Have local police officers visit black communities they serve to meet the people and have the people meet the officers. This can be accomplished through neighborhood watch programs where the communities have someone that they deal with for questions on a regular basis. This also works with the local politicians, that way we have a real idea of who is interested in helping/interacting with us and who is not.

Identify the people within the community that provide services that can benefit that community. Utilize a word of mouth.

Organize communities by offering things that appeal to those communities, but also allow them to both meet their neighbors and those in other neighborhoods. Organize ways for the kids to get together with each other and have fun.

Find ways to provide people who are in neighborhoods that have a large percentage of people at or below the poverty line with things that benefit them where they are. Bring education to them, give them reasons to come out and meet each other (which will usually involve options for the kids).

Identify those who have innate leadership abilities early. Find them a mentor and start teaching them about business and economics early.

Since black people are the ones who are regularly bombarded by messages telling us that we are expendable, focus on ways to counter those messages. Partner with public schools to do things like start a black history club which shows the kids that our contribution to the world extends beyond entertainment. Learn about one important black person a week, even if it's by circulating a worksheet with a picture and a few paragraphs. Get them used to the idea that the black contribution in American is much larger than what is in the history books. Petition local schools to add more black literature to their reading lists.

I'm going to stop now. Those are places to start.

What would I suggest? For people who want to do something along the lines of clicktivism first find a "non-threatening" black cause (which is almost an oxymoron) that is easy to google and won't bring up kill whitey types of posts. Send it out to groups with community ties first, inviting them to take part in fun little challenges (Motorcycle clubs were doing the als challenge months ago). See if they are able to spread it. These challenges are most successful when people are allowed to one-up each other. They need the opportunity to make a personal statement within the context of a group. It also should be ongoing instead of one day. It needs to go viral, so establishing a slow-burn instead of a flash flood.

Before attempting to set up a boycott, people need to understand what it was that made past boycotts successful among blacks. If you're asking black people to take on an undo hardship, there has to first be something in place to make it less difficult. Namely support and community accountability. Coupled with understanding what we hope to accomplish, how it will benefit them, and how the sacrifice will accomplish things.

Next start small and work up to the big things. Small victories influence the harder choices.
