12488195, Anybody own a treadmill? Recommendations? Horror stories?

Thinking about taking the plunge, but I'm worried about maintenance. I just can't make it to the gym like I used to, and running outside at night is WPS.
12489428, anybody?

12847868, get a concept 2 rower or skierg
Posted by J_Stew, Tue Jul-07-15 07:15 PM
both are around $1100-1200 including shipping and are incredible conditioning tools, with zero impact. I have a skierg at home and I love it. You can mount it to the wall or buy the platform and attach it to that, and then it rolls around. The rowers can be stood up against the wall when not in use as well(If space is a concern).

We have an elliptical. It acts as a clothes hanger.

We also have 3 gym memberships that we actually use.

I liked my elliptical and I still use it from time to time, but honestly its collecting dust.
12847911, Is this the 90s? Get P90x or something and call it a day

12847943, I like to run. Like, I do half-marathons and shit

I do hiit and shit, but it's not going to take the place of a treadmill
12847972, there is one in my house
Posted by luminous, Tue Jul-07-15 10:50 PM
hasn't been used in years. probably over a decade...

i used it once... was really loud when I ran, so didn't use it again. i would recommend putting it in the basement.

Easier on the knees. Like most people here, it collects dust every now and then. However, you seem like you're motivated to run so that shouldn't be an issue for you.
12848661, I made this post over a year ago. I'm not in the market anymore
