she's going to an event where she's being named a Fashion Icon for the year. you pretty much have to take your look to the max to even be worthy of receiving such an honor at that kind of event

to have done what you're suggesting would have not befitted an ICON...that's a heavy word.

she and her stylist played it exactly right, imo

she went old Hollywood glamour, mixed it with Josephine Baker, and topped it off a with a Bad Girl cherry.
