The Jaguar Wright thread reminded me of the whole replacing Jill Scott with Erykah Badu on the You Got Me track. A reminder for those who want it:

Folks were saying they did Jill and even Eve dirty by that song (and leaving Eve out the video),but the thing looking back in retrospect is that, the way the label delivered it to the world ended up being the biggest songs in Roots history and winning a Grammy.

Doesn't that vindicate the label's approach?
