Adidas was completely irrelevant in sneakerhead/street wear culture before Kanye. Now a Yeezy drop is as big a deal as a Jordan retro drop. Sure Adidas made the shoes, but he made his name. You think a Harden or Dame Lillard PE shoe is selling like a new Yeezy color way? Most popular personality on Adidas right now is not an athlete. That’s a problem for them.

I would bet cooler heads prevail here. They need his brand, he needs their apparatus.
