~3 months later and i can at least get into a handstand even if i cant hold it for too long yet. surprisingly by not practicing them much specifically. had to work on my core more than i ever imagined and practice a few other holds and alter how i do pushups to build up the strength to support. the progress has been encouraging and motivation.
overall i feel stronger and more "body aware" than ever because of it and its helped my workouts overall. a lot of the lower backpain i used to get sitting in my office all day is gone now too
