Cool. I have mine and this doesn't for the bill for me
>whether you acknowledge/recognize it or not, this song has a >very strong tribal influence.
I didn't deny that at all and either way it's immaterial to *my* dislike of the song.
the stomp chant of the >percussion, paired with the simplified bass line hearkens back >to the tribal music of our ancestors.
....ok. Is this supposed to make me suddenly enjoy it?
>no, this isn't 'heavy meta'l-hard. no, its not >'trap-beat'-hard. its an entirely different beast, on its own. >its a traditional posse cut that speaks directly to th >current climate of the world (in various perspectives).
The content and subject matter doesn't change my perception of this song from an aesthetic standpoint.
>"..teleprompters >telling lies >broadcasting live >helicopters in the sky >tell the coppers not to lie >(they gon' lie, they gon' lie) >fell on top of us >we don't die.."
Yeah, I mean, I didn't challenge the lyrics or the subject matter. Great lyrics don't change the aesthetic. I dislike the way it *sounds*, not what's being said.
>the song might not be your cup of tea, but this shit goes >hard.
To you. Just not to me. I'm not sure what this song being "hard" to you has to do with my dislike of the song. Should I suddenly enjoy it because it fits your definition of hard and you like it?
