Yeah the area gets shit on a lot but I love it. The night life sucks and for for any kind of culture you have to drive to LA or SD. But the nature is beautiful. The views that the wineries had could be found in a so many places. Lots of outdoors stuff to do. Hiking, bike trails, dirt bikes. Old town is small but has really good restaurants and bars. It's a good place to raise a family. If I grew up here I would have probably hated it. It's definitely not for young people.
