Dude's were loving The Get Down, the show that damn near is a disco musical and the female lead isn't just the romantic interest but her story line is half the show and guys were digging it.

So you're saying that black men don't or didn't enjoy Set It Off, The Color Purple or Dreamgirls, or anything like that because they mainly told a story from a women's perspective? We didn't watch Living Single, Girlfriends and the sorts all the same?

I know there's always gonna be a huge line of people to give dap whenever someone says "especially black man!" but really it isn't true that we won't watch the good ole boob tube just because the story is focused on women, come on now...
