I don't think they revealed anything tho. I do remember the same thing happened when he was about to plead. I'm kinda hoping that's how they reveal what really happened in the finale, even if the court case doesn't necessarily reflect the actual events. I think that would be the least corny/forced way to address/answer that question while still realistically reflecting what would truly happen in court in a case like this.
