We watch (well, I zone out while it's on) a lot of reality television in my household.
Especially with shows on networks like TVOne catered to black viewers, they treat slang/ebonics/AAVE or even accents like they're another language that needs to be translated

at first it was kind of funny on the Flex & Shanice show with this old dude
