I went thru this recently with a friend of mine... was actually kinda sad. We were talking about vaccines and he dropped the "I never get flu shots // I never get the flu" line of reasoning, and I kept it brief and said "That's confirmation bias and not really related to vaccines in general, there's research, etc.."

And he basically said "if it's from the gov I'm never trusting it"

Which I get, but when it's not just ONE government or one piece of research... That's the adult equivalent of plugging your ears and going Lalalalala I can't hear u
