They dance moreso to the 808 heavy bass drops than anything else....so whenever I'm going through songs, they will dance to anything that has a familiar sounding modern 808 drum track, and they don't really dance to the 80's and 90's Boom Bap or L.A. sounding drums.

It's even songs that are complete remakes of 90's songs, except they have modern drums, and they only dance to the modern versions. So yeah, I feel like all the young producers who may grow up in whatever Region still have a sense for what's traditional for their area, but they almost all use those heavy 808 drums underneath.
