there will always be this hope that there is someone else somewhere, so that hope makes them want to hold on
2. A lot of ppl are still scared of dying. Period.
3. If you decide to cross the ocean and aren't prepared, you will die a horrible death. Nothing like being lost as sea, and starving. OR trying to fly a plane and not knowing what you're doing when certain things happen, and crashing and burning or drowning.
