But I still made sure to never lead her on beyond "we're getting to know each other," and I think that's a huge difference from having sex, telling them "you're the only one I want," or even meeting the parents, which some guys do. It wasn't at all about me using her, which is usually the issue with these situations. The guy usually gets sex, even has her cooking and all else, while she thinks she's about to be official.
