In fact, I'd go so far as to guess almost no one on this board can name an actual 5th cousin of their by name. Being 5th cousins means your last common ancestor with a person was a mutual 4X great grandparent. I didn't grow up knowing a single person I could say that about, and I doubt anyone else here can, unless you're a descendant of the Habsburgs or Bourbons or Prince Akeem and Lisa McDowell - some royal family.

Point being, 5th, 6th, 7th cousins are the random people you cross paths without in the world, alot of times.
