For several reasons.
- My son is inherently a criminal in a country that punishes young black males basically for breathing.
- He has a 50% chance of being incarcerated, give or take 20% depending on where he is in this country.
- If he is sexually assaulted in prison, there's something like a one in three chance of contracting an STD.
- Someone like the original author of this post or Ben Carson or some other enlightened politician will use that sexual assault as record that he is clearly homosexual, and that as victim of sexual assault, he was clearly asking for it.
