My wife wants one for Christmas. But those things are out or our price range. She says we can get a reconditioned one and save some money. But I am averse to buying anything used.

Does anyone have any experience with reconditioned Vitamixes? Have you had any issues? Have you heard of anyone having any issues? I am leery of electronics that have a large reconditioned market. Because if the original product is so good. Why would so many people return it to the company (which in turn resells it as reconditioned)?
