Kenny Fucking Powers would beat your soft fucking asses for forgetting about his fucking awesomeness

Plus "The Man" could not keep him down, so he's back for one more round with you motherfuckers

Boom

Great tone-setter season premiere, I don't know why Kenny-Powers-as-asshole-ex-jock-media-talking-head never occurred to me (if that is the direction it fully goes in).
77071, Wasn't sure how they could continue this and keep it interesting

The little snide remarks he was throwing at April about her award were so painful to watch (but also great.)

77078, The show has more elements of drama
Posted by Numba_33, Tue Oct-01-13 08:09 AM
in the latter seasons, just to warn you. It isn't as silly as the first season is, so be forewarned.
77079, yeah, s2+s3 are plotted like serialized movies, not episodic like s1
Posted by celery77, Mon Oct-07-13 11:52 PM
it makes me like them more, but it also makes it have more drama and character development in parts than straight-forward jokes.
77080, Co-sign. Even though I felt that way about Season 1
Posted by bwood, Thu Nov-07-13 09:41 AM
I feel like the first 3 season were like watching movies with one overall arc of Kenny's comeback from his own downfall. This feels more episodic. And while I love this season, I still wish last season was it.

But hey, I love Season 2 the most out all of 'em.
77081, The show is great. I ride for McBride.
Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Tue Oct-01-13 09:23 AM
His comedy is unique. He's not really doing what others are doing, and he cracks me the fuck up.
77082, Kenny as a straight man was so funny.

They pulled that soap opera rapid aging syndrome on our asses.

And what's up with Stevie's "kids"? Are they supposed to be his cuz all dem lil mawfuggas look 100% Mexican! He said he named them so I'm assuming he was at least there when they were born... and because he named them, I'm assuming Maria gave birth to them.

The level of disrespect they show that nigga is astounding... especially that lil raggedy-moufed one. All I've ever heard him call Stevie was "dick-licker", "faggot" and "motherfucker"... and coincidentally he's the one named Kenny.

77123, It is shocking that this "bonus" season is as good as the 1st
Posted by dgonsh, Wed Oct-23-13 09:40 PM
I'm seriously enjoying this season as much (sometimes more) than the first. I never thought I'd say this, but there's a poignancy to Eastbound/Kenny in this final season that hasn't been touched on to this level in the previous 3 seasons.

I'm very sad that this is the end cause this season has been remarkably competent and hilarious.

Posted by ZooTown74, Mon Nov-18-13 02:36 AM
Also lol @ buddy from True Blood (Alexander Skarsgard) playing Kenny's son

And the cold open with Sacha Baron Cohen tripped me up. I fired up the DVR and apparently quickly zipped past the HBO logo and right to the scene, which I at first thought was a zany promo for a new Sacha Baron Cohen special, but then he said what he said to the boy, the screen froze, and the EBD logo came up, and I was like, oh shit

Anyway, fun finale, which once again leaves the door open for a return... this time to a new location which would be fodder for a gang of Breaking Bad jokes...
