in the latter seasons, just to warn you. It isn't as silly as the first season is, so be forewarned.

it makes me like them more, but it also makes it have more drama and character development in parts than straight-forward jokes.

I feel like the first 3 season were like watching movies with one overall arc of Kenny's comeback from his own downfall. This feels more episodic. And while I love this season, I still wish last season was it.

But hey, I love Season 2 the most out all of 'em.

His comedy is unique. He's not really doing what others are doing, and he cracks me the fuck up.

Especially when he was not drag-racing the dude at the start.

Will Ferrell, or when his friend (Jason Sudekis) died and he continued doing coke right next to him, I stopped watching after one of those

but the season 4 premiere was hilarious, I liked it a lot

him being unable to be proud/happy was kinda unsettling to watch

I laughed my ass off... so many great characters have been involved in this show but nothing tops the Kenny/Stevie combo

Thanks for that info. I'll have to try and find that AMA when I get home tonight. I'm very curious about the creative process for that show since it is so different, especially the second the third seasons.

I'm getting the sense that April is turning out to be just like him.

I'm seriously enjoying this season as much (sometimes more) than the first. I never thought I'd say this, but there's a poignancy to Eastbound/Kenny in this final season that hasn't been touched on to this level in the previous 3 seasons.

I'm very sad that this is the end cause this season has been remarkably competent and hilarious.

really hit it's stride this year... a shame this is it

Kenny and Stevie's wardrobes the past few weeks have just gotten more and more awesome.

Also kind of lost it at them saying "fixings" to each other.

especially compared to how funny the prior episodes were, but I liked the dramatic elements in the episode. They felt natural and not too heavy handed IMO, which isn't all that easy for a show centered around comedic actors.

show is so ridiculous. I can never take them seriously.

Funny, but felt like watching a real couple at their end. Kenny seemed unhinged (loved him carrying the microphone the whole time.)

And I lost it at Stevie's "That's what pimps do."

i wonder if kenny will become the host now? that was such a good ending to the episode

....and I can't wait to see that fucking shit. Goddamn this show is awesome.

Stevie's chin was amazing.

for some reason I thought last night was the finale and I thought for sure Stevie was gonna put a bullet in Kenny's head when he initially put the gun down

Glad they made up though because this show is better when their relationship is good... Can't wait for the finale, this has been a great season

Sasha's intro was fantastic as well. Stevie falling asleep during Kenny's crucial speech. Lindsey Lohan playing Kenny's daughter....just a fantastic episode.

And the cold open with Sacha Baron Cohen tripped me up. I fired up the DVR and apparently quickly zipped past the HBO logo and right to the scene, which I at first thought was a zany promo for a new Sacha Baron Cohen special, but then he said what he said to the boy, the screen froze, and the EBD logo came up, and I was like, oh shit

Anyway, fun finale, which once again leaves the door open for a return... this time to a new location which would be fodder for a gang of Breaking Bad jokes...

Stevie had some of the funniest 1 liners in tv history this season... he is going down as one of the great comedy sidekicks of all-time...

this was my favorite season

That was a beautiful finale. They should definitely not come back from that.

I'll never say never since it was supposed to end last season and they wrote a perfect finale then. But again they wrote a perfect finale. I just hope they leave it as is.
