when he's at his worst and will stand up for herself like when he tried to make her break her ethics/professionalism to help him out. and its nice to see him open up to her, because he has a hard time doing that with other women...there really only are a few now that Anna is gone...peggy...and faye.

roger is a dumbass for being so cowardly. i think he's too jaded, or depressed. they should probably get rid of him.

and what made joan decide to stop messing with roger--was it the fact that he knew lucky strike left their firm or that she was pregnant with their (illegitamete) child, or both? Because if it were the latter, it wouldn't be such a big deal since she's already knocked up.
