they are only losely based on any real mob family (the Lanzettas), so there is no historical accuracy they need to stick around for. They were also small-time compared to the New York and Chicago names invloved thus far and have a thing with fucking with Nucky (the ward boss robbery, easily pinnable to them), Nucky's family (Jimmy's mom is related), and business. Jimmy could erase them from the show's plot without much consequence.

Rothstein will send someone else down to kill Gillian and snap Lucky out of getting too attached to AC. Whoever that poor sob will be is going to get destroyed by Jimmy, who will come to some sort of man's agreement with Lucky.


Either way, I have gone from not believing in Michael Pitt as a hard-ass killer to anticipating him going ape shit and cold blooded. It's going to be good.
