I was hoping the body in the bathroom would bring heat on him, but it just vanished. I think the problem was they had no idea how to handle the aftermath of Rita's death.

I have a theory though. I think they filmed a lot of the Santa Muerte killers stuff when Michael C. Hall was out getting treatment for cancer. That's why he rarely interacted with the rest of the cast (and they used his mourning as a way to explain it). So the Santa Muerte stuff was just filling space and when he got caught up they just dropped that.

So I'm just hoping that a season away from all of this they can get back to what worked. I'm not going to complain how convenient things are for him because that convenience is something I loved in the first four seasons.
