Personally, I think I would kinda prefer it if the series ended without him being caught.

I'm just tired of the same scenarios over and over again:

-Dexter thinks he's found someone he can relate to and let in on his secret, but it doesn't go as planned. He learns nothing from it and will bond with another person next season
-Deb starts dating a guy but finds out that he's a creep
-Anytime two characters of opposite sexes are in close proximity, a sexual relationship must develop between them
-Someone gets close to uncovering Dex's secret but they end up dead at the last minute with all traces conveniently cleaned up
-Deb starts finding clues that should lead her to Dex's secret, but she inexplicably never follows through on them

and so on et cetera

The shit is just lazy writing. Nothing else.

It doesn't have to be Dexter getting found out, but shit... Just give me something different.
