This has never been a show with much "heart" for me, my main draw is the dark humor and the whole 'How will Dexter get out of this one' appeal. Not feeling the emo stuff with the kids, it just doesn't have any weight to it. Whether that's on account of bad writing, bad acting, or just me not giving a fuck, I cannot say. I love the show, don't get me wrong, but it's never had a whole lot of depth to me.

Once the Quinnvestigation heats up, then the show will start rolling again. Even if it is a retread of the Doakes story, I love the cat and mouse aspect of this show. I'm sure the writers will toss in some curveballs though, they haven't had a bad season yet.
