I think its clear that they are shouting out a lot of classic horror movie scenes, tropes and what not each week.

We watched last weeks episode last night and in the middle of the night of of the kids toys started making noise in the living room. When I went to the living room to check on it and the toy said "Bye Bye" I almost crapped my pants. Show had me spooked yo.
