187732, Badu Charged by Dallas Officials...
Posted by Skeet, Fri Apr-02-10 05:52 PM
DALLAS — Dallas police have announced that they've charged neosoul singer Erykah Badu with disorderly conduct for her nude video shoot on a downtown street.
Police Sgt. Warren Mitchell said the video shoot for Badu's song Window Seat happened March 13 on the streets bordering Dealey Plaza on the east and north.
He told reporters on Friday that a 30-year-old woman had submitted an affidavit on Badu's walking striptease that ended with the singer nude at the spot where President John F. Kennedy was killed in 1963. Then, Badu acted out receiving a fatal gunshot to the head herself.
Mitchell said a citation will be mailed to Badu, a Dallas native. Disorderly conduct is a Class C misdemeanor in Texas, punishable by a fine of up to $500.

I hope Badu has $500 to pay the fine. Times are hard out here...

Haha she deserves it. I love Badu but I feel no pity for her. What is the point of going nude in public when she knows it will get her fined? Yeah, she's trying to make some kinda "statement", but why not a statement about something meaningful? "Free thinking" and all this, my ass. She just wanted some more sales.

I am highly critical of Badu on this one;howver, If I were an attorney defend her for free even. As a Dallas resident, DPD has a lot more on their plate than this. Plus, did this "witness" just now come forward? Hell, first prove this person was there. All sides in this one are on some BS

Madonna never got fined for the Sex book and she did that shit in real time and in various locations and states. She had to quickly take the shots and run in fear of the police.

I love Madonna, hence my avatar but gotdamn let's be fair here.
