182810, So is Hub kicking himself right now? / Any news of him?
Posted by quikfit, Thu Feb-26-09 10:05 AM
Wasn't a big reason for him leaving The Legendary due to the constant touring and such? I know The Roots aren't done touring all together, but there is going to be a drastic decline. Seems like this new Late Night gig would appeal to him vs. the crazy schedule. Of course I don't know him and all his reasons for departure, but well, good for Ben I guess.
Also, any news of what Hub's up to? I believe I read something about him working on film scores? Anything come of that at this point?
182816, I was gonna post this...

but i don't think he's kicking himself. I just want to know what he's up to, and if he's ever gonna step back up...
182826, why should he be kicking himself?

from what i remmeber, he wanted to spend more time with his family.

sometimes there are priorities in a man's life that are bigger than another person's expectations.
182827, As I said,

I thought the big thing was the touring, and now that their schedule is a bit less crazy, the steady gig and NBC money might have been appealing, that's all.

Anyway, I'm guessing then that there's been no real news of any current musical project's he's involved in?
182833, meh, whatever

people spend too much time playing armchair career advisers for artists rather than just accepting shit the way it is.

carry on tho'.

I'd assume that he wouldn't be much of a fan of being in a house band for Jimmy Fallon.

But that's an assumption.

But the post was about Hub so your name coming up didn't even occur to me. It was like the original poster was calling Hub "Ben".
183239, That should be your album: WHO'S BEN? n/m

Man, I didn't even mean to put Ben in that original post. I was so confused as to why Ben was brought up, and just now re-read my post.
WOW, wonder what I was on that day.
I meant to talk about Hub the whole time, not sure why I tossed Ben in there.

all I know is I was pissed when I saw them open for Badu last year and it was definitely NOT Leonard Hubbard on the bass. Just not the same without him.
183849, I just had a vision of him playing in his own side project
