that sometimes you can't understand her but you can sure as hell feel her.
She murdered the scene last night at the World Cafe Live in Philly. How often do a singer come off stage, walk through the crowd, go to bar for a drink (water), and get back on stage. She followed that up by doing sets of pushups. No lie. After that she invited about 20 people on the stage to dance while she was singing. That was just the middle of the show.
Leela is absolutely funky. It isn't a marketing ploy. Her album can't capture her sound and her vibe.
Oh by the way Tara Girl was great as always.

was just on her myspace today looking for tourdates or some recent news.. is she making a new album or what? damn...we need her.
cosign on studio vs live performance...she thrives in the live element...sadly from only what I have seen on that HOB set from New Orleans.
