I bought a ticket for this yesterday. I see that it says here it is poolside. I didnt know that. The ticket, when i bought it on ticketmaster, showed an auditorium. Im a bit confused.

Can someone give some details on that place/venue if you know.

I think it's the same set up as Red Rock....poolside with the stage kinda up.

I went to that same Houston show and have to agree. It was simply amazing. I've been to 3 shows before and this one was the best by far. Their cover songs get better and better... and they played an amazing version of one of Bob Dylan's old songs.

Definitely check them out if they run through your town!

anyone know what the "p.m." or "p.j." prices are?

for some reason unknown to me, whenever you go to a venue in amsterdam, on top of the booking fee for buying tickets in advance, you have to pay an extra charge to be a 'member' of said venue.

you can either buy this on a monthly basis - the three euro charge - or annually - the eighteen euro charge.

so if you go to the paradiso a lot, it's worth buying an annual pass, or if you're just going for the night (or the two nights for the legendary) just pay the three euros.

if you are going to the two nights, you'll only have to pay the three euros once.

hope this clears it all up!

This shi% continues to amaze me! Alot of cats in Hip Hop are hurtin right now but it seems as if the Roots continue to find work! I mean can a brother get a loan?? This sucks so much.

Why do they insist on playing at the Congress Theater? I know it's a big ol venue, but the acoustics in that place are terrible. If you're anywhere near the back or sides of the floor, there is a terrible echo and you can't make out the vocals at all. I know pretty much all the lyrics, but I couldn't even follow along. it was basically nodding my head to the bassline.

I just saw the Roots perform at Anchorage Alaska and it surpasssed all my expectations and everybody elses as well it seemed. My favorites were Step into the Realm, You Got Me, & Long Time. And everybody went crazy when they played Guns & Roses' Sweet Child o MIne, did not see that coming.

Looks like The Roots are giving us another show again at the House of Blues in Atlantic City again! definitely gonna try to be there like last yr.
