philly people, y'all should keep an eye on the web for a show around Rising Down release time.

Last year they played the TLA for the release and it was announced via internet and local radio, FREE-first come, first served. It was a dope show and damn nice of them.

No guarantees, but I see a little gap there in their dates, so be hopeful.

usually CMU has a spring concert thats open to the public, part of their spring carnival (tech fair i think its called).

Yeah, I saw Blackalicious at CMU last year cause it was open to the public.

edit: If it's similar to that show, I wasn't sure if you could buy them online, so I walked over to CMU and bought tickets there.

All you cats in the 'burgh, the show at CMU is FREE and open to the PUBLIC. To get your tickets, you gotta go down the day of the show and get them. The show will be outside if weather compromises, if not, its going to be inside, it'll still be free but less people will get in so make you get down EARLY

Most of the venues here in Philly are NOTORIOUS for not announcing/verifying/freaking signing the contracts until damn near the very last minute. Most times when bands play here it's not completely known the specifics until about a month or so before hand. The Game Theory tour didn't have info on the Philly show until about 5 weeks before the date.

Just called Northeastern's box office and was very annoyed to find out that there is "absolutely no way" that anyone can attend this Roots show unless they are a student at Northeastern. They got to add back on the house of blues show. I went to house of blues last night. They announced that Lupe Fiasco is performing at house of blues May 3rd same time as the Roots at Jazz Fest. Now I'm going to have to choose which show to go to. I've never seen Lupe live before.

"I Will Not Not Apologize" was a revelation. BT just killed it. That song in particular was one of the best live performances I've ever heard. It was like seeing Dizzy Gillespie--a complete master of his craft just letting loose. The definite highlight of the show. It's amazing that this band just continues to get better and smarter. The crowd didn't even know what hit them.

It wasn't radically different from the 3/7/08 set someone posted on here earlier. The new material stole the show in my view, but beyond that I'm not going to ruin any surprises.

There was some dust or plaster or something (asbestos?) falling from the ceiling onto the stage. It was like the band literally shook the foundation!

First off...it's Millikin not Milliken...lol (i'm an alum so it's just one of those things)

But I thought it was a very strong show overall. I was very impressed with the new stuff and I'll be picking it up ASAP.

I personally enjoyed the 3/23/07 show in St. Louis a bit better but then again half the crowd didn't know the material. I hate the set up of the Kirkland but it was cool overall though.

But the crowd did better than I thought they would honestly. It was much better than having Sugar Ray or O.A.R perform.

i know that on here it says that they're not, and originally, it didn't on ticketmaster either, but i checked on ticketmaster today, and it says with special guests the roots
so i'm extremely excited, but also kind of confused and skeptical at this point

This is stupid. I convinced my husband to see Badu with the Roots and they are not there at the Tower. They are gonna be in Allentown, with the other twelve people that live there. I wanna give my tickets back. What a mothers day this will be!!

Hi. im just wondering what the shows are like for the ones that say the Roots are performing with Erykah.

Does that mean they open? Does it mean they play as her band without Black thought?

I am considering flying down to vegas to catch the june 13th show but only if i know i'd be getting a solid dose of the 215th....no offense badu lovers.

Im not a big badu fan but a huge roots fan. I really would like to see them on tour right now but not gonna go if they are opening or just backing. I would leave disappointed if i didnt get to see another full set.

The date here says Houston June 17th, but the House of Blues site says the Roots will be in Dallas on that night. I cant find any info about the Houston show. Hopefully it's still on?? Anyone know anything...

So I just got my tickets for the Houston show @ Warehouse Live, but the ticket says the 18th of June. The Warehouse Live website says June 18th. But everywhere else says the 17th. Someone please help.

I just purchased tickets for the Houston show which is on JUNE 18th, NOT June 17th. Ticketmaster and the venues Warehouse Live and House of Blues (Dallas)have the correct dates. BE CAREFUL when you buy your tickets

I saw the Roots and Erykah Badu in Richmond a couple weeks ago. I've seen the roots several times and knew they would rock it, but Erykah was unbelievable! Never been to a better show, don't know if anything will ever beat that show.
