You should do this to get to the hard drive.
Ever mess with Live Linux disks?
http://www.slax.org/download.php download the kill bill edition.
- burn it as an iso
- put cd in and type this in the boot menu: slax copy2ram eject
it'll copy the disk to RAM and then once its done eject the disk and free it up if you only have one cdrom drive.
- now you can view anything on the hard drive

for burning the mp3's to a disk.
