Just signed up...Been checking OKP for some time, unfortunately my first post had to be in regards to the passing of the god, Jay Dee.

His passing shocked the hell out of me. My homeboy called me and told me, I cussed him out thinking that he was joking. He told me to turn my radio station to 88.1fm (some station here in Toronto). They were running a tribute show for him....I couldn't believe it, (still can't).

This Friday at Down One (a lounge here in Toronto) will be hosting a tribute to Jay Dee spinning nothing but Dilla tracks. If you're from Toronto, come through and represent.


Jay Dee, will surely be missed but his legacy will live forever through the music he's left behind.
