I have literally lurked this site since before it was finished, and many, many time there have been things that I've had strong opinions about, very nearly drawing me to make this user ID and get involved. However, I'm kind of a quiet person, prefer to listen.
Today I can't help it. I am distraught over Dilla, I really don't know which way to turn. I'm here at almost 6 AM on the West Coast listening to "Welcome to the D" again and my hands feel shaky, for real. This is a greater loss than will be realized for some years.
Only Kanye and Pete Rock compare as far as producers can reach. I have Donuts ordered and it should be out here in a couple days, but I don't know if I'll be able to listen to it. This is a genius, one of the few true ones that we've experienced.
