what's the bpm ?

The track is in between 92 and 93 bpm and there are some slight turn-arounds so my suggestion is to line up her downbeats in the wav form...badu style of course..a laid back ;)

now all u gotta deal with is some serious headphone bleed ;-( its aight though, still fun as hell.

I finished my mix right b4 the deadline, whew!

just to clear up some confusion I have been told that you can use samples, but it is suggested that you put your own spin on them so they are not noticeable esp. if they are samples of well known artists

Yeah man I feel you. Its sorta jive though. I mean, I'm glad for what I gained in doing the track...the experience of it BUT I definitely didn't just throw some drum loop or un-related chord progression on there or some other jive ass bullshit. I took some time on it...not a ton of time, but time I can't get back. I know Anu took some time on his too because its HOT. The beat was also not at one BPM the whole time, so you had to hook up them transients or just play live with it to lock in that groove. Its a shame if it really is a marketing ploy.
