this beat is bangin = good shit... didn't catch where you were goin at first but once you get goin this is a pretty dope joint... reminiscent of "rumors"...

terrain to roam = awe man, im a sucka for guitars... very nice... that bassline is killin it... very smooth... the singer is dope too... no gripes here...

letter to sarah = awe shit, 808!!! sounds like a color me bad song... lol... not dissin, just the first thing i thought of... just a lil piano riff would'a set that shit off... a lil "bling, bling, bling, bling"... the singin is trippin me out too... i give daps on that...

This beat is good but it lacks a lead melody, the part that people sing along to in their head, like a crunchy bassline or distinc keyboard part. I like the idea here, and I think this could sound dope (to me) with a little more focus. The extreme "wet" effect and waving volume of the main sample (the only melody, right) is a tad overdone.

Too Hot - Dope flow. Is that you. The drum programming does this wierd thing that mucks up the groove to me, like the kick is severly misplaced after the open hi-hat. Everything else is dope, but that throws it every time to me.

well being out in kuwait, i aint got the necessary equipment to throw all the parts in i'd like to (such as the melody or that funky bassline im known to add) put well noted, i would've pointed out the same thing

Been a while since I passed through the Okayplayer boards, but I think I'm posting this in the right place... (correct me if I'm wrong).

So the plot is: I got tired of just making beats and passing them around to lazy amateurs who never bothered to record shit on em. I turned to acapellas and got around to remixing quite a few tracks, which seems to have paid off. Got a few of em up on my MySpace player, then direct links to all remixes in high quality mp3's if you like what you hear.

"Love Still" isn't quite as percussionless, but it has the same problem. There's a lot I really like about your manipulation of the samples, but with next to no drums, those will never be hot beats. Beef up your percussion and make those mixes pop, I think you could really have something special.

At first I was too liberal with percussion...real busy with the drums.
Live At the Midnight Club is probably the closest to what I'm trying to achieve amongst the 4 tracks.
