what you wanna do with it: What else? Produce. Make beats. Mix down good music. Master good music. Take it to the road. Wherever the good music and good pay is, I wanna be at...

inspiration: To be specific, cats like Madlib and Dilla, obviously. But as far as more realistic inspirations, Just Blaze and Alchemist, Questlove and James Poyser, that whole crew, and older cats like Quincy and Herbie...Sergio Mendes too, that cat is unprecedented as far as soulful music goes...

if you could learn under the tutelage of ONE person, be it a producer, vocalist, instrumentalist; and have them teach you all they know, who would it be?

?uestlove, for sure. I'm not even sayin' this because we on the Okayplayer boards; he's been in this business as long as I've been alive, and when it comes down to it, he's everything I've ever wanted to be musically: Drummer, producer, musician, engineer...look me up and that's pretty much the all of the job titles I cling to these days.
