Hurt - This is kool. It's on the same type vibe as that Lupe song, Instrumental. It definitly needs to be mixed better. I like it a lot though and I'd like to hear it after it's mixed down..

I use FruityLoops. I always do a rough mix in FL and I do a final mix down in Pro-Tools if I sell the beat or I'm using it for a project. The showcase set is all mixed in Pro-Tools and the other 3 beats are rough FL mixes..

that horn stab that repeats (ell, sound slike a horn) has an eery feeling thats only strengthened by that... whatever the hell that sound is!... the one that fades in and out, back and forth every few bars

That sample was an interesting flip. I was chopping up a really randomly chosen song into small bits and accidentally f**ked up the sound, ending with a really gloomy feel. I took advantage of that and chopped up some notes from a piano sequence and pasted them together.

that bass doesnt really fit the rest imo... if you keep it at the sub bass then it orks, but the fuzzy-synth bass sound doesnt fit well imo.
