I argued a lot of things, a lot of ways, homie.
Don't be trying to over-summarize.
>Of course when you start spouting out that stuff it's going to >draw a few of the overanalyzers out of the woodwork. That >doesn't support your point nor does it discredit the opinions >of the initial posts.
Uh.
So, I'm to blame for the idiotic overanalzyers infiltrating this conversation?
Well....uh....sorry, and shit.
So I make a point, overanalyzers come "out of the woodwork," proving my point, but yet somehow their coming "out of the woodwork" does not prove my point.
Thanks, sparky.
>Exactly my point. Overanalysis is wrong... unless you agree >with what they are saying.
Not quite.
You can think about a film in great depth all you want.
The problem comes when you start inventing shit that ain't there.
^^^constitutes the direction of the overanalysis. Its analyzed to the point where one starts to conclude phantom things about a film. That is the case, imo, with 'Pulp Fiction' commentaries.
I got no problem with someone studying 'Pulp Fiction'.
I'm sure there's all kinds of interesting shit that someone could say.
I could talk, for example, about how overrated it is.
>The only thing that annoyed me was Longo coming in acting like >he was clarifying the argument when all he did was play into >the same strawman that you created. You took the discussion of >the rails and Longo acted like that was the right direction.
No, I actually kept the conversation logical. I was just being a dick about it. Longo was just saying to ignore the fact that I was being a dick, and focus on the what I'm saying, because it makes sense.
I sense there are other reasons you're so mad at him, but that's between y'all.
